I love ideas. Some people are inspired and have more creative vision than others. They have the option of keeping them to themselves or sharing them. They are not always the most commercially minded. Or sadly, for them to be happy with a ‘that’ll do’ piece of work. But when a client starts to slog off the colours of my jacket, then I wonder if they have gone a tad too far. Fortunately when delivering this damning view on...

Do you chase the job that pays you the most, or the job you want to do? If I had the choice of a million dollar marketing contract with a manufacturer of nails, or the opportunity to create the brand identity for a football club in the Premiership or Championship – a job that I doubt would be even close in fees, I know which I’d go for. Nothing wrong with nails of course!...
