Flare is a technology company that specialises in installing and consulting yacht AV and other electronic systems. They approached us and asked us to freshen up their brand, redesign their website and create an informational brochure. We were very excited to work with Flare and get involved with the luxury marine market.
Flare felt that there was a significant amount of equity in their logo as they have a loyal customer base. For this reason, we kept the Flare shape but made it flatter, simpler, and sharper. We also upgraded to a more modern typeface that gave it a new level of sophistication. We also created an alternate logo for Flare’s new and separate residential technology division. The standard corporate marine logo has red in the Flare shape and the residential logo has green.
The new website design showcases the beautiful yachts that Flare works on with a full-bleed slideshow of images. It’s easy to navigate, clean, mobile-friendly, and most importantly, separates and explains all of the many services that Flare can do for their clients.
The brochure we designed is a Maltese cross format in which all the pages fold into the middle. The cover has a die-cut in the logo that shows the colour of the page below. You can change the order of the pages to show the red marine colour or the residential green through the cut. This allowed us to create some flexibility to cater for any event or meeting whether or not it was based around their marine or residential services.
