The Brief

Tavern Snacks only wanted a pack design for a new line of Chilli Nuts at first, but it quickly became clear that the entire range needed overhauling to help stop a very real decline in sales and bring the customer face of the business up to date.

What We Did

We introduced a radical new personality to help their packs punch above their weight. Their wordmark was sensitively adjusted and simplified to work with a more contemporary colour palette and point-of-sale updates. A ‘Taverntastic’ tone of voice – including that catchy one-word sign-off and tongue-tingling taglines for each pack completed the energetic new look

What Happened

The new look Tavern proved irresistible for consumers and to potential new stockists, who recognised that the brand was now ready to compete on the shelves with the bigger brands, and sales increased 25% in the first year, leading to a takeover 12 months later. A Taverntastic result. 🙂
