What we did

Our first task was to convince the founders to rename their business. Formerly known as All About Gifts, they needed a name that reflected their USP as the UK’s officially licensed merchandiser for some of the world’s most iconic characters. From Peanuts to Paddington, from Miffy to Moomins, the characters themselves needed to be brought into the spotlight.

Once we’d agreed on the brand name Classic Characters, we took inspiration from the colour scheme that gives classic comic artwork its unique personality. We designed and built a robust e-commerce site using WooCommerce and WordPress, showcasing their 450+ products in an image-heavy design. We also spearheaded a targeted Google Ads campaign to support the website’s launch.

What happened

Since the launch, sales have been impressive. The digital advertising campaign has succeeded in raising awareness for Classic Characters, laying the groundwork for the busy Christmas season. Audience numbers have also grown across the Classic Characters’ social channels. With business booming, we’re looking forward to expanding the website further to accommodate Classic Characters’ growing product catalogue of iconic clothes, models, toys, stationery and homeware gifts.
